Thank you – I have wanted to start a yoga practice for a very long time and there was never convenient time for my work schedule- thank you for having so many convenient times and for having a beginner series where I can learn to feel comfortable. A special thank you to Sue Ward for my first and second yoga practice.
Namaste, Yoga in Common! Thank you for providing such an oasis for yoga practice with extremely friendly yogis. Yoga and Golf made our trip complete and perfect! We are looking forward to our yearly trip to Myrtle Beach, stay in touch! Hope all of you safe from hurricane Sandy!

I could go on at length about the virtues and benefits of yoga, relating them specifically to what I've observed and experienced in your two beautiful studios, where the instructors, all possessing technical prowess in poses well beyond my skill level, show deep commitment to the path and practice of each student, from novice to expert. Contentment, happiness, and peace--not to mention stronger and more limber bodies--are the result for all involved.

I'm very excited to get started with Yoga at the Common! When is the moving meditation class? I cannot wait for the meditation class Thursday night. I need some uninterrupted time to myself. :-)
Thank you for your quick reply!!

"We are really enjoying both your studios. The classes are all different but they are mostly "flowy" and we feel so good after we practice here." -Holly D.

Hey!! I stopped in for a class yesterday at YIC. I really love the space and I am in love with all of the things in the Tique. I bought the little wooden painting with the blue lotus and Namaste painted on it. It looks great in my bedroom. I had no idea that you sold sage and sweetgrass, I was actually looking around for sweetgrass and ordered it online. I wish I had thought to email and ask you before I ordered it. I really enjoyed the class, Pam was great! I really enjoyed my savasana at the end of her class. Hope you have a great week!

I live in Charleston but my brother lives up in Surfside and I am hoping he will get back to his core of practicing yoga and meditation. He is in a tough place right now, so with it being a free class in a very positive environment, that would be really essential. And if he embraces the practice, I will consider buying him a pass for the month.
Please let me know, thanks! Much appreciated!

You've created a great studio here in the Forest (I've been to the Common twice, with good experiences at both, yet the vibe was a little different, say a little more formal and technical), and I know I was lucky that my first exposure to yoga was through Amanda, who shows time and time again how limitations inherent in the body (especially one as resistant as mine) aren't barriers to truths about the spirit. Thanks to her sure touch and expert guidance and to the gifts of your other fine instructors, each session has been both a "wake-up" call to my sheet-metal physical nature and a gentle but firm lesson about life lived on a higher plane. See you soon. Steve H.

I didn't have time yesterday but I wanted to write you to let you know me and Yvonne were very impressed with this past Sunday's New to Yoga class. We have never had anyone explain or break it down like (I believe her name is Lauren) did. The way she did, how she broke it down and used the props to show us; it made sense. Thank you. I'm even going to come to tonight's class. Is she teaching?

I truly had such a wonderful time and practice at your studio! I plan to visit again!

I loved the class. I wish there were more in the week, the teacher was great and very helpful, I felt relaxed when I left and that is what I am looking for. I'm also wanting to do the Meditation Class, is that still going on?

“Thank you so much for making these spaces possible. I cannot tell you how much yoga is helping me. I’m a natural-born “worrier” and yoga is really helping me to worry less. It’s helping me in so many ways. I just cannot thank you enough.” –Jackie B.

I told the lunch class today, that I helped my neighbor move some furniture off of the back of her truck yesterday, and to my surprise I could lift if and carry it with no problem, I would have in the past had aches and pulled muscles the next day, but I was fine, thank you YOGA!! --

I cannot recommend yoga enough. I've been doing it for about 7 months now. I haven't been to the chiropractor in 7 months. I can't believe how much better my back feels. And it's just great anyway. I can't say enough about getting started in yoga.

There is nothing like the feeling you get after a yoga class--like you've done something really good for yourself. It feels amazing. I'm so glad I started coming to yoga.

This has been an amazing year for me. I've grown, learned, and discovered so many wonderful things about myself, and where I see my passion for health impacting the community. With each new day I identify so many wonderful aspects of myself, and how each choice I make is leading toward guiding others who are or have struggled with the same challenges. Food Day was a smashing success, and I'm looking forward to doing so many wonderful events in the community to continue building awareness, I wanted to pause for a moment to recognize where it all began for me. Last year in December I returned from NY somewhat broken, and lost. I began taking classes in the studio in March, and it was there I learned self acceptance..As Sue continued to teach me, "you are where you are & it is perfect for you". That was huge for me. It gave me a direction. For that I am grateful, and today I continue to spread the word (YIC & YIF) about how your organization supports personal growth.
